REK 140 automatic netting machine

The REK 140 is the packhouse netting machine for series production. Its catalogue sheet states up to 50 baskets per minute, a clip band closure with a 5 x 0.35 mm section and compatibility with knitted or extruded netting. It receives the baskets on the conveyor, wraps them in tubular netting, closes them with the band and cuts, in a continuous cycle.

The clip band closure is what sets it apart most from its sister models. Compared with a metal clip, it keeps metal parts out of the line, something downstream metal detectors appreciate, and it can carry batch and calibre printing. Compared with a self-adhesive label, it copes better with cold store humidity. If you also want brand identification, the netting can carry a header label.

The food-grade stainless steel construction is not just a finishing touch. These machines are cleaned every day, in damp environments and with produce that sheds soil and sap, so corrosion resistance and quick access to the maintenance components matter as much as speed. It is controlled from a simple interface and the pack size is adjusted to suit production.

It suits citrus, potatoes, onions and garlic, robust produce that can take the maximum rate without any loss of quality. There is some honest small print: the 50 baskets per minute is the nominal figure. A machine that reaches that rate on medium-calibre onions will not do the same with a larger or irregular piece. That is why we prefer to see your produce before sizing the line.
