Tie labels for net bags, plain or printed

The tie label is a label designed for one specific pack: the fruit and vegetable net bag. It is placed at the end of the pack, where the net is gathered, and does two jobs at once. It closes the net with a firm hold during handling and transport, and it carries the product identification where the shopper can see it. That is why it is so common on net bags of citrus, garlic, potatoes or onions at the point of sale.

It is designed to be applied by an automatic machine, quickly and securely, as part of the netting cycle. It comes on a roll, ready to feed the closing unit. In the range of netting machines we distribute, the MEN110, the MEL110 and the KUK-900 are listed with clip, strapping or label closure; the REK 140 closes with strapping. It is supplied in two versions. The plain tie label, in white, works for any product and customer and lets you hold stock without depending on a design. The printed tie label carries your brand, logo or product information, and turns the closure into a presentation surface without changing the pack. There is also a supermarket format. For variable data such as batch, weight or barcode, the usual approach is to combine it with the line's labelling machine.

Compared with other closures, each has its own ground. The metal clip is the simplest; strapping avoids metal bodies on the line and copes better with the humidity of cold storage than a label; the tie label offers what the others do not: a visible surface to communicate the brand. If your product spends long periods in cold, damp conditions, mention it when choosing the material.
