KUK-900 netting machine
Automatic netting with clip closure and integrated labelling: the tie label is printed and applied without leaving the machine.
The KUK-900 is the netting machine in the range that handles packing and identification in a single unit. Its catalogue sheet lists three features: netting with clip closure, a capacity of up to 35 nets per minute and an integrated labelling system, with an applicator and printer, for tie labels.
That integrated labelling is what sets it apart from its sister models. On the REK 140 the closure is a clip band and the tie label, if there is one, comes separately; on the KUK-900 the clip closes the net and the printed tie label comes out already applied, with whatever variable data the batch needs. That removes a labelling station or machine behind the netting machine and prevents the label for one batch from ending up on the net of another.
Within our range it is intended for high-output lines, above all for produce that moves in volume, such as potatoes, onions or garlic. But that level only makes sense when the whole line is sized to match it. Installing a netting machine of this kind behind a weigher that cannot feed it at rate, or in front of manual palletising, does not raise output: it just moves the bottleneck somewhere else. That is why, when someone asks us for the KUK-900, the first thing we look at is what comes before and after it.
The netting, the tie label format and the printed information have to be defined together. The size of the label, the data it must carry (origin, calibre, batch) and the netting reference all affect how the machine is set up, so it is advisable to run a test with your produce and your consumables before finalising the configuration.
At Fontanet Group (Fraga, Huesca) we have a team with more than 30 years in the sector. MARFONT, our machinery division, takes care of installation, operator training and technical service. Our sales team studies your line and confirms whether the KUK-900 is the right fit, together with the netting and tie labels that go with it.

Frequently asked questions
What makes the KUK-900 different?
It integrates labelling: with its applicator and printer it places a printed tie label on each net while closing it with a clip. The other netting machines in the range need to handle the label separately or use another closure system.
How many nets per minute does it produce?
Up to 35 nets per minute according to its catalogue sheet. The real rate depends on the produce, the netting format and whether the line feeds it at that rate.
Can I use my own tie labels?
The tie label format has to match the machine's applicator and printer. Send us your label, or we can supply the right tie labels, and we will check it beforehand.
