The LEG-100 is the automatic strapping machine in the range. Unlike the semi-automatic model, where the operator passes the strap around the package, here the machine guides the strap through its frame, tensions it, seals it and cuts it without any intervention. Its catalogue sheet highlights two features: in-line integration and high production speed. The image shows it working on a full pallet of cardboard boxes, with a vertical mast, the strap guide frame and its electrical control cabinet.

It is the machine for an end of line that already runs continuously. In a packhouse or warehouse palletising in series, strapping by hand or with a table-top machine soon becomes a bottleneck. Integrated after palletising or stretch wrapping, the automatic strapping machine secures the load so it travels compactly without adding a workstation.

Compared with the horizontal strapping machine, which also has a mast and goes around the load horizontally, it is worth reviewing with you the type of load, its height and the position of the straps you need before choosing one or the other. Compared with the SQ-800 table-top model, designed for loose boxes and parcels, the LEG-100 works on large loads and within the flow of the line.

The strapping is chosen according to the load. As a general rule in the sector, polypropylene is used for light loads and grouping boxes, and polyester for medium and heavy loads that need more strength. If the strap tightens on cardboard boxes, edge protectors on the corners stop it from marking or crushing the corner boxes.
