Automatic horizontal strapping machine

Wraps the strapping around the load horizontally and automatically, with tension and speed adjusted to each material and format.

The horizontal strapping machine does exactly what its name says: the strap does not pass over and under the load, as on an arch strapping machine, but runs around it horizontally. Its catalogue sheet highlights automatic horizontal strapping, versatility of formats and high production speed. The image shows its column structure, the strap guide frame, the electrical cabinet and the strapping coil at the base.

That horizontal path is exactly what loads that cannot be strapped properly from top to bottom call for: flat products, long bundles, profiles, boards or coils. The strap grips the piece around its outline and holds it together without having to pass underneath. Speed and tension are set according to the material, so the same machine can tighten firmly around a rigid load and treat one that marks easily with more care.

It takes polypropylene or polyester strapping. As a general rule in the sector, polypropylene is used for light loads and polyester for medium and heavy loads, as it is stronger. If the load includes cardboard boxes at the corners, edge protectors spread the pressure of the strap and stop it leaving marks.

Among the strapping machines in the range, the horizontal one is the specialist for this kind of load. The SQ-800 table model works with a vertical arch over boxes and packages; the battery-powered OR-T S19 is portable and is taken to the load; and the LEG-100 is the automatic machine designed to be integrated at the end of the line. If you are torn between the horizontal machine and the LEG-100, what decides it is the shape of your load and where the straps need to go, and we work that out with you on your own product.

On an arch machine the strap passes over and under the load. On the horizontal machine it runs around its outline, which is what flat products, long items or coils need.

What strapping does it use?

Polypropylene or polyester strapping, with speed and tension adjustable to the material. We will confirm the compatible width with your project.

What load sizes does it accept?

It depends on the machine configuration. Send us the dimensions and weight of your loads and our sales team will confirm whether it fits.
