OR-T S19 battery strapping tool

An electric hand strapping tool that goes to the pallet: it tensions and seals under electronic control, with no power socket or compressed air.

The OR-T S19 is the portable strapping machine in the range, a battery-powered electric model. On the website it also appears as ORT-19. It is placed on the strap around the load and, with the trigger, it tensions, seals and cuts. Its catalogue sheet lists a tensioning force of 1,000 to 5,500 N, battery operation with no compressed air and precise electronic strapping, with repeatable tension and sealing.

That electronic control is its main difference from manual tensioners and sealers. Tension does not depend on the strength of the operator's arm: it is set once and the tool repeats it on every strap, and the same goes for the seal. This avoids loose straps that come undone in transit or straps so tight they mark the boxes. The wide tensioning range lets it handle anything from light loads to heavy pallets.

It works with polyester and polypropylene strapping. As a general guide, polypropylene is for light loads and bundling boxes, and polyester for medium and heavy loads that need more strength. If the load is cardboard, it is worth fitting edge protectors on the corners to spread the pressure of the strap.

Compared with the SQ-800 table model or the LEG-100 automatic, its advantage is mobility. It is light, ergonomic and has long autonomy: on one charge it straps hundreds of packages, with no cables across the floor. It is designed for intensive use wherever a fixed machine cannot reach: pallets spread around the warehouse, the loading dock, bulky loads or work in the field. If, on the other hand, you always strap at the same point and at a high rate, a fixed strapping machine will be more productive.

At Fontanet Group (Fraga, Huesca) our team has more than 30 years in the sector. MARFONT, our machinery division, handles installation, operator training and technical service. Tell us what loads you strap and with which strapping, and our sales team will confirm the compatible width and the batteries you need.
