Wall-mounted soap dispenser

A handwashing point works well when soap is always to hand, in just the right amount and without making a mess. The wall-mounted dispenser is what achieves this: it is fixed beside the washbasin, at the right height, and delivers a dose of soap with every press. Nobody has to touch a shared bottle or look for the product, and the washbasin does not fill up with residue.

Dosing is also a matter of saving. With an open tub or a pump bottle, each person uses as much as they like and a good deal ends up wasted. The dispenser limits the dose per press, which cuts consumption and makes it more predictable how much soap the plant needs each month, which is useful for planning restocking.

In an industrial environment, sturdiness matters. A dispenser at the entrance to a facility or in a changing room is used dozens or hundreds of times per shift, sometimes with wet or dirty hands and in a hurry. That is why a solid model is advisable, fixed to the wall and with a push button that is easy to operate. The one in the image, with a rectangular metal body and a front push button, is built for that kind of intensive use.

The soap dispenser is complemented by the gel dispenser. The first goes at the washbasin, for washing with water and liquid or disinfectant soap; the second is placed where there is no water or as a back-up between tasks. When deciding where to put it, think about the route staff take: at the entrance to the food handling area, in toilets and changing rooms, and near the paper hand drying point.
