TAK 160 rotary accumulation table

At the end of many packing lines there is a simple problem: the machine produces at a steady pace and the person collecting, checking and boxing cannot always keep up. When they fall behind, product piles up at the end of the conveyor, gets knocked about or the line has to be stopped. The TAK 160 rotary table solves this by acting as a buffer: it receives the packs and keeps them turning on the disc until someone picks them up.

According to its catalogue sheet, the disc is made of stainless steel and measures 1.2 m in diameter, with a raised rim around the edge to stop packs falling off. The motor is 0.18 kW at 400 V and 50 Hz, a very modest consumption for equipment that runs the whole shift. The frame stands on four adjustable feet, so it can be levelled on the floor and set to the height of the conveyor outfeed.

Its typical use is at the outfeed of a packing machine, flow wrapper, tray sealer or netting machine, when there is a manual checking or boxing station behind it. The rotation brings the packs to the operator, who picks them up from a fixed point instead of chasing them along the conveyor. It works just as well for fruit punnets, sealed trays, bags or small packs, as long as the product stays stable on the disc.

Among end-of-line solutions, the TAK 160 is the simplest step. The automatic case packer and the PAC-23 palletiser replace manual work; the rotary table, by contrast, organises it. It is the logical investment when volume does not yet justify automating case packing, or as a safety buffer in front of automatic equipment that may stop for a moment.
