NEK 120 dynamic checkweigher

The NEK 120 is the most straightforward checkweigher in the range: an infeed belt, a weighing section and an outfeed belt, with the weight indicator mounted on a column so that the operator has it in view. It sits in the line after packing and checks every unit without stopping the flow.

According to its catalogue sheet it handles up to 55 packs per minute with an accuracy of ±4 g. It is designed for products where that tolerance is sufficient: bags and net packs of fruit and vegetables, boxes and medium-weight packages. When a unit falls outside the configured range, the automatic rejection system takes it off the line and the rest carry on.

Its value lies in its simplicity. It is set up from the keypad indicator, with no complex interface, and takes up little space, which is welcome on existing lines where room has to be found for one more machine. For the quality manager it means no longer weighing samples by hand and being sure that no pack goes out below its declared weight.

NEK 120 or CODI 640? Both are dynamic checkweighers. The NEK 120 offers slightly more throughput on its sheet (55 against 50 packs per minute) and a compact format with an indicator.
