CODI 640 dynamic checkweigher

It weighs each pack on the move, without stopping the line, and separates those that do not comply. With a touch screen for checking production data.

A dynamic checkweigher is placed at the outfeed of the packing machine and weighs each unit as it travels along the conveyor. If the pack is within tolerance it carries on; if it is underweight or overweight, it is diverted to the reject table. This avoids shipping packs below the declared weight and, at the same time, shows how much product is being given away through overfilling.

The CODI 640 handles up to 50 packs per minute, a pace that suits packing lines for fresh produce, bags, trays or small boxes. Its stainless steel frame is designed for food industry environments, where cleaning is frequent, and the side reject table collects rejected units without stopping the flow.

What sets it apart is the touch screen with data access. From it, products and their tolerances are configured, and you can check what has passed through the line: units weighed, accepted and rejected. Having that record helps to demonstrate compliance with nominal weight to a customer or an inspector, and to adjust the dosing of the packing machine when the average is seen to be running high.

Within the inspection range, the NEK 120 is the more compact option, with a weight indicator and a stated accuracy of ±4 g on its sheet, at up to 55 packs per minute. The CODI 640 focuses on the touch screen and data management. And if, as well as weight, you need to detect metal contaminants, the COMBI 5000 combines a metal detector and checkweigher in a single machine.
