LS-1375 automatic MAP tray sealer

The high-output in-line model in our catalogue: it receives trays by conveyor, injects modified atmosphere, seals them and delivers them closed without anyone having to load them.

The LS-1375 is an automatic tray sealer designed to be integrated into a packing line. Filled trays arrive on the infeed conveyor, the machine groups them in the mould, replaces the air with the gas mix, seals the top film, cuts and sends them out on the outfeed conveyor towards labelling or case packing. All continuously, with no operator loading and unloading.

It is the option when volume no longer allows stopping to load trays by hand. In our tray guide we position it as the catalogue's reference for automatic modified atmosphere, above the LS-975: both work in line and with MAP, but the LS-975 is the balance point for medium output and the LS-1375 is the model for high, sustained production. Compared with the semi-automatic tray sealer, the difference is one of concept: there the pace is set by the person; here it is set by the line.

Sizing a machine of this size correctly is what decides whether it pays for itself. It is best to start from the real trays per hour at the peak of the season, not the annual average, and to fix from the outset the tray formats you are going to work with, because each format needs its own mould. You also need to plan space for the conveyors and the supplies: compressed air, gas and barrier film compatible with the tray.

Modified atmosphere pays off when shelf life is the bottleneck: fresh meat, fresh-cut produce, fish, ready meals or long-distance shipments. It extends the time the product stays in good condition, reduces waste and returns and opens the door to distributing further afield. Sealing in line also gives a consistent presentation, tray after tray.

MARFONT, the machinery division of Fontanet Group, studies your line, proposes integration with the rest of the equipment and takes care of installation, commissioning, training and technical service. From Fraga (Huesca), with more than 30 years in the sector, we prepare the configuration for you: speed, moulds and technical data are confirmed with our sales team for your product.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from the LS-975?

Both are automatic, in line and with modified atmosphere. The LS-975 is the balance for medium output; the LS-1375 is the reference for high, sustained production.

How many trays does it seal per hour?

It depends on the mould, the tray format and the product. The sheet gives no fixed figure: with your data we will calculate the real output.

Can it be integrated with the labeller?

Yes, the sealed tray leaves on the outfeed conveyor towards the next machine. We study integration with labelling, checkweighing or case packing.
