LS-500 automatic labelling machine with integrated weighing

In-line labelling machine that weighs the pack, prints the label with its weight, batch and date, and applies it in whatever position you need.

The LS-500 is Fontanet's automatic labelling machine for lines where each pack carries its own information: weight, price per kilo, batch, date, origin or code. In some documents it appears as the LS-5000; it is the same machine. What sets it apart from a conventional labelling machine is that weighing is built into the same unit, so there is no need for a separate scale followed by another machine to apply the label.

The pack comes in on the belt, passes through the weighing section, the printer produces the label with the actual data and the applicator places it before the outfeed. Weighing can be dynamic, without stopping the pack, or static, when the product or the required accuracy calls for it. Everything is controlled from a touchscreen mounted on a stainless steel column.

It is fitted with a 4-inch printer running at 300 mm/s, a pace that lets it keep up with a tray line without becoming the bottleneck. Labelling in multiple positions gives you room to change format, orientation or customer requirements without changing machine, which is decisive in packhouses with many products.

Compared with the Codipack 200, which labels on the top or bottom with photocell detection but without weighing, the LS-500 is the option when the product has a variable weight and the label has to show it. Fewer machines in line means fewer stoppages, fewer mixed-up labels and better traceability, which for fruit and fresh produce is a condition for getting onto the supermarket shelf. It works well alongside the tray sealer, just upstream, and with the checkweigher when packs need to be verified and rejected.

MARFONT, the machinery division of Fontanet Group, studies your line, integrates the labelling machine, trains the operators and provides technical service. From Fraga (Huesca), with a team with more than 30 years in the sector, we advise you on labelling positions and connection to your system. Dimensions, weighing range and throughput are confirmed by our sales team.

Frequently asked questions

Are the LS-500 and the LS-5000 the same machine?

Yes. It is the same automatic labelling machine; in some documents it appears as the LS-5000. The catalogue sheet lists its data: 4-inch printer at 300 mm/s, dynamic or static weighing and labelling in multiple positions.

What is the difference between dynamic and static weighing?

With dynamic weighing the pack is weighed on the move, without slowing the line; with static weighing it stops for a moment on the scale. We choose the mode with you according to product and accuracy.

Do I need a separate scale?

No: weighing is built into the labelling machine itself. If you also want to verify and reject packs outside tolerance, it can be combined with a checkweigher.
