Industrial staples
Steel staples for closing boxes and assembling cardboard and wooden packaging, with a pneumatic or manual stapler.
Industrial staples are the consumable for packaging staplers. They are supplied in strips, rows of staples joined together that are loaded into the stapler, and are used to close cardboard boxes, fix bases and lids, assemble wooden packaging or hold materials together. Compared with packaging tape, a staple gives a mechanical closure that does not depend on adhesion: dust, humidity and cold do not affect it.
They are made from quality steel, which gives them mechanical strength and durability in daily use. A poor-quality staple bends on entry, goes in crooked or jams the stapler, and on a packing line that means stoppages and badly closed boxes. A well-made staple goes in straight, closes firmly and keeps the closure stable during handling and transport.
They are compatible with pneumatic and manual staplers, and here lies the key to getting it right: each stapler takes a specific staple series, with its own crown width, leg length and wire thickness. Not all staples work in all machines. That is why the most practical approach is to start from the stapler model you already use, or the one you are going to buy, and find the staple that matches it.
The size also depends on the material. In cardboard, the leg has to go through the layers and close without breaking the wall; a staple that is too long sticks out and one that is too short does not grip. In wood, longer legs and thicker wire are used so that the joint withstands stress. If you work with several materials, it is common to keep two or three sizes in the warehouse. The staples are supplied in different sizes and thicknesses.
At Fontanet Group, from Fraga (Huesca) and with a team of more than 30 years in the sector, we help you find the staple that fits your stapler and your packaging. Tell us the stapler model and which materials you join, and our sales team will confirm the right reference.

Frequently asked questions
Which staple do I need for my stapler?
Each stapler takes a specific staple series, with its own width, leg length and thickness. Tell us the make and model of your stapler and we will tell you which reference matches it.
Staples or packaging tape for closing boxes?
A staple gives a mechanical closure that does not depend on adhesion, useful with dusty or damp cardboard or in the cold. Packaging tape is quicker to apply on a line and leaves the box cleaner. One or the other suits depending on the case.
Do the same staples work for cardboard and wood?
Not always. In wood, longer legs and thicker wire are usually used than in cardboard. If you work with both materials, it is normal to have several sizes.
