Recycled paper egg boxes

Eggs are probably the product that tolerates badly designed packaging least: a single breakage stains the whole carton and takes the unit off sale. An egg box works just like a fruit tray, with a cavity for each piece so the eggs do not touch one another, and with a lid that closes the pack and protects against crushing during transport and stacking.

Our egg boxes are made from moulded recycled paper. The fibre cushions knocks through its own structure and gives a natural product image that suits farm, free-range or organic eggs. At the end of its use the egg box is recyclable and compostable, and it carries FSC certification, which confirms the responsible origin of the fibre.

As well as the classic fibre format with a lid of the same material, the range includes a version with a clear lid, which lets shoppers see the eggs without opening the pack. It is an interesting option for the retail shelf, where the colour of the shell and the look of the product sell on their own, and where shoppers usually open the carton to check the eggs before taking it.

The egg box is also a vehicle for your brand. It is available in different colours to set ranges or grades apart, and it is customised by printing directly on the carton or with a label. Direct printing gives a more integrated look; a label is more flexible when you handle several farms, grades or dates with the same base pack, because it lets you change the information without changing the egg box.
