Traypack Cargo for bussel boxes

Traypack Cargo is the dedicated fruit tray for the bussel box, the deep cardboard export box used to ship seasonal apples and pears. It is a tray with cavities in which each pocket holds one piece and protects it individually, so fruit does not rub against fruit during handling, cold storage and transport. Several layers of traypack are placed inside the same bussel box, one on top of another, each with its own fruit.

It should not be confused with the ordinary fruit tray used in standard 60x40 boxes: they are different products. When ordering, call it by its name, Traypack Cargo, so the reference we prepare for you is the one for the bussel box. If part of your fruit ships in standard boxes, you need a different item: a spherical-cavity tray for apples or a pear-shaped cavity tray for pears.

Traypack is not ordered by size but by number. Each number corresponds to a cavity size and therefore to a calibre range: the more cavities, the smaller the pocket and the smaller the calibre. As an indicative starting point, for apples Golden usually comes in between 70 and 80 mm, Gala between 65 and 75 mm, Fuji and Granny Smith between 70 and 85 mm, Red Delicious between 75 and 90 mm and Reineta between 85 and 100 mm. For pears, Conference works between 55 and 70 mm and Blanquilla between 60 and 75 mm. The exact number is confirmed against the real average calibre of your harvest.

The complete system is three parts: bussel base, bussel lid and Traypack Cargo, and it pays to size them together, with the same reference calibre, so the box never arrives without what goes inside it. Apple and pear seasons overlap and at the peaks the whole area orders traypack at the same time, so planning ahead before the fruit comes in secures stock and dates.
