Manual palletising is one of the toughest jobs in any packing warehouse: hundreds of boxes a day lifted and placed one by one, with the risk of injuries and badly built pallets that comes with it. The PAC-23 automates that step. Baskets arrive on the infeed conveyor, the head picks them up and places them on the pallet following the programmed stacking pattern.

It is a gantry palletiser: a steel structure that frames the pallet area and along which the head moves, vertically and horizontally, to build up the stacks. This design keeps the footprint contained and leaves the pallet accessible so it can be removed with a forklift or pallet truck once it is complete.

It is designed to work with fruit and vegetable baskets and boxes, and is compatible with multiple basket formats, so the same machine can handle different references throughout the season. Its catalogue sheet also highlights easy integration into existing lines: it connects to the outfeed of the case packer or of the packing station without having to rebuild the installation.

At the end of the line, the PAC-23 works right after the automatic case packer, which fills the boxes, and right before wrapping, where a rotary arm or turntable stretch wrapper stabilises the pallet with film for transport. Combining the three steps is what allows a box to leave the line and reach the loading dock without anyone touching it. Throughput, pallet height and weight per basket depend on your product and are studied individually for each project.
