Automatic bucket sealer

Seals buckets and large containers with film continuously: containers come in on a conveyor, are sealed at up to 10 cycles per minute and leave closed.

The automatic bucket sealer brings the sealing of large containers up to an industrial pace. Filled buckets come in on the infeed conveyor, are positioned under the sealing head, receive the film over the opening and leave on the outfeed conveyor towards lidding or packing. According to the catalogue sheet, it reaches up to 10 cycles per minute, and the operator goes from placing buckets to supervising the machine.

It allows modified atmosphere packaging with vacuum and gas. First the air is drawn out of the headspace of the bucket and then the protective mixture is injected before sealing, which helps preserve products that are sensitive to oxidation. Sealing film over the opening also prevents leaks during transport and leaves a seal that shows the container has not been opened.

A distinctive feature of this model is its WiFi connection, which allows the machine to be controlled and monitored remotely. In practice it lets the production manager or technical service see the machine's status without being on the line, which is useful in plants with several shifts or where the packing room is some distance from the technical office.

Compared with the semi-automatic bucket sealer, which reaches 6 cycles per minute in normal atmosphere with manual loading, the automatic model offers a faster pace and integrated conveying. And compared with the LA-250 line, which doses the product as well as closing it, the automatic bucket sealer is the choice when you already have filling sorted and what you need is to close containers at a good pace. The accepted opening size is confirmed with your containers.

MARFONT, the machinery division of Fontanet Group, integrates the sealer with your filling and end-of-line equipment, and takes care of installation, operator training and technical service. From Fraga (Huesca), with more than 30 years in the sector, we prepare the proposal: bucket formats, tooling and technical data are confirmed with our sales team.

Frequently asked questions

What speed does it reach?

Up to 10 cycles per minute according to the catalogue sheet. With vacuum and gas the real figure depends on the container and the product.

What is the WiFi connection for?

For controlling and monitoring the machine remotely, so that production or technical service can see its status without being next to it.

Does it also dose the product?

No, it seals containers that are already filled. If you need to dose and close in a single installation, the option is the LA-250 line.
