Disposable caps for food handling

A hair in a box of fruit or in a pack is one of the most common complaints and one of the easiest to avoid. The disposable cap is designed for exactly that: to cover the head completely, with the hair gathered inside, so that none falls onto the line, the work table or the product during handling.

Its shape is simple. It is a roomy, lightweight cap with elastic all around the edge, which fits the head without squeezing and adapts to different head sizes and hairstyles. Because it is loose on top, it takes long hair tied up without the need for hairpins. And as it is single-use, it is thrown away on leaving the area and a new one is taken on coming back in.

The difference from a hairnet is coverage. A hairnet is a fine mesh that holds the hair discreetly and is very comfortable over long shifts. The cap, on the other hand, encloses it completely: it covers a larger area and also better retains dust or particles that may come loose from the hair. That is why the cap is usually chosen in areas with more sensitive processes, for visitors or when the protocol requires the whole head to be covered.

It is also the most practical option for people who only enter the building occasionally. Together with the coat and overshoes, it makes up the access kit for visitors, technicians and auditors, who can then comply with hygiene rules without going through the changing room. For staff, many companies combine it with the hairnet depending on the job.
