Disposable vinyl gloves

Vinyl gloves are made from PVC. It is a synthetic material, so it does not contain the proteins found in natural latex and poses no allergy problems related to that material. Compared with nitrile and latex, it feels less elastic: it fits the hand somewhat more loosely, and while that would be a drawback in precision work, in other roles it is an advantage, because the glove goes on and comes off in a moment.

That ease makes it the glove for short tasks. Think of an operator who alternates between touching produce, picking up a box, noting something on a sheet and going back to the line, or the person who serves, hands out or packs in small batches. If every change of activity means changing gloves for hygiene reasons, a model that is easy to put on and take off saves time and makes it easier for the protocol to be genuinely followed.

What you should not expect from vinyl is the strength of nitrile. It is a glove for low risk: if the work involves staples, blades, cardboard edges or prolonged contact with cleaning products, it punctures sooner and it is worth stepping up to nitrile. Nor does it offer the sensitivity of latex for fine work. Compared with polyethylene, on the other hand, vinyl fits the fingers much better and allows more natural handling.

In short, vinyl is the versatile alternative in the range: more comfortable and closer-fitting than polyethylene, latex-free, and suitable for all those brief handling tasks where the glove does not stay on the hand for long. Its clear appearance lets you see the hand and check at a glance that it is clean.
