Penetration probe thermometer

It measures the temperature inside the product, not on its surface, with a thin tip that barely pierces it.

In food, the temperature that matters is the one inside the product. An ambient or infrared thermometer only reads the surface, and a piece can be cold on the outside and out of range on the inside. A penetration thermometer solves that: its probe is inserted into the food and gives the core temperature, which is the one recorded in goods-in, cold store and dispatch checks.

It measures from -50 to +275 °C, so it works for frozen and chilled products as well as cooked ones. It has a resolution of 0.1 °C and an accuracy of ±0.5 °C in its usual operating range, with a response time of 10 seconds. The measuring tip is thin: it allows quick measurement with minimal piercing, which is particularly welcome when the product you are measuring is the very one you will then go on to sell.

It includes automatic end-value recognition (auto-hold): the instrument detects when the reading has stabilised and holds it on the display, so the result does not depend on how long each operator waits. It also has audible and visual alarms for monitoring temperature limits, useful for spotting straight away a batch that does not comply with your limits.

It is designed for day-to-day use in the food industry, warehouses, supermarkets and quality control laboratories. It is compact, light and easy to use in any working environment, and it has IP67 protection with a TopSafe cover, which allows it to work in wet areas and withstand cleaning. It is the natural complement to a hygiene plan alongside gloves, disposable clothing and dispensers.

At Fontanet Group, from Fraga (Huesca) and with a team with more than 30 years in the sector, we advise you on integrating the thermometer into your temperature checks. Availability, cover and spare parts are confirmed by our sales team.
