MAP Professional automatic tray sealer

In-line modified atmosphere tray sealer for plants that pack continuously over several shifts and need stable sealing with no manual loading.

The MAP Professional automatic tray sealer is our solution for demanding, continuous production: plants that pack trays over several shifts, with seasonal peaks and little tolerance for downtime. It works in line: filled trays arrive on a conveyor, the machine removes the air, injects the gas mixture, seals with film, cuts and delivers them onto the outfeed conveyor.

What sets it apart from a semi-automatic tray sealer is that the pace no longer depends on the person loading the mould. And what has to be decided, compared with the LS-975 and LS-1375 automatic models in the catalogue, is the configuration: the LS-975 is the balanced choice for medium output and the LS-1375 the benchmark for high output. The Professional version is configured to suit your plant's product, formats and volume, so the first step is a study of your line, not picking from a catalogue.

For that study it helps to bring three pieces of information. The first is the trays per hour you need at the seasonal peak, not the annual average: this is the most common sizing mistake. The second is the tray formats you work with, because each one needs its own mould and changing format frequently affects the choice. The third is what comes before and after: filling, checkweighing, labelling and case packing, so that the tray sealer does not become the bottleneck.

Modified atmosphere slows down oxidation and microbial growth by replacing the air in the pack with a gas mixture. It pays off with fresh meat, fresh-cut produce, fish, dairy or ready meals, and with any product that has to travel long distances or last longer on the shelf. It requires compressed air, a gas supply and a barrier film compatible with the tray.

MARFONT, the machinery division of Fontanet Group, studies your process, proposes the configuration and takes care of installation, commissioning, operator training and technical service. From Fraga (Huesca), with more than 30 years in the sector, we present our proposal to you: model, moulds, speed and technical data are confirmed with our sales team.
