Once again this year, Fontanet Group will be at Fruit Attraction, the leading international trade fair for fruit and vegetables. You will find us in Hall 8, Stand 8C21, where we will be showing our latest work in end-of-line automation and packaging solutions for the fresh produce, food and industrial sectors.

We have been taking part in this fair for more than a decade because we believe in face-to-face contact. For us it is not just a showcase: it is the chance to hear first-hand what each packhouse needs, to show what we have been working on and to keep building relationships that hold up through the whole season.

Fontanet Group is two businesses working together: Embalajes Fontanet, which solves the pack and the packaging material, and MARFONT, which designs, supplies and maintains the machinery that applies it. Both will be on the stand, because hardly any real problem is solved with only one of them.

What you will find on our stand

End-of-line automation, with MARFONT

The end of the line is the stretch where the product is already finished and all that is left is to pack it, close it, identify it and send it out. It is where hands pile up and where a peak in the season shows most. MARFONT has spent more than 30 years solving that stretch in packhouses and in the food industry, machine by machine or with the whole line integrated.

• Netting machines for fruit and vegetables. semi-automatic MEN110, automatic MEL110 and industrial REK 140.
• Pallet wrappers. LD-200 turntable wrapper, rotary arm wrapper and Master 3 X4 wrapping robot.
• Horizontal packaging. Flowpack wrapper, with its film reels.
• Tray and tub heat sealers. LS-975 and LS-1375 modified atmosphere (MAP).
• Automatic in-line labelling. LS-500 and Codipack 200, for identification and traceability.
• Dynamic checkweighing. CODI640 and NEK 120, checking pack by pack.
• Strapping and taping of cases and pallets. OR-T 19 battery strapping tool and semi-automatic case taper.
• Complete lines. Integration of every machine into one continuous process.

Packaging, with Embalajes Fontanet

Protect, present and transport. The pack decides much of how the fruit reaches the shelf, and getting the material and the size right matters as much as the machine that applies it. On the stand you will have the material in your hands, which is still the only serious way to decide: a tray is judged by how it holds the piece, and that is not on any data sheet.

• Fruit trays, by variety and by size. PP fruit trays, black rPET fruit trays, moulded pulp fruit trays and Traypack Cargo.
• Stretch film for palletising. Manual film, automatic film and macro-perforated film.
• Tubular netting. Netting for fruit, netting for citrus and netting for potatoes and onions.
• Trays and punnets. Cardboard trays, moulded pulp trays, PET trays and fruit punnets.
• Packaging tape. Acrylic PP tape, solvent tape and custom printed tape with your logo.
• Strapping and corner protectors for pallet stability. PP strapping, polyester strapping and cardboard corner protectors.
• Labelling. Self-adhesive labels, thermal labels and ribbon for printing.

Technical service and line studies

We do not just sell the machine and the material. The MARFONT technical team installs, commissions, trains the operators and takes care of maintenance. And before all that comes the line study: looking at the process you already have and saying what fits and what does not. Bring your specific problem to the stand, with its volumes and its packs, and the conversation goes a lot better than with a catalogue in front of you.

Even better if you come with figures: how many kilos you move a day at peak season, which sizes you work with, which box and pallet formats you use and where the line jams today. With that on the table, ten minutes on the stand get further than several phone calls.

Three days of trade fair are not enough to see everything, so you have to choose. These are the reasons we think it is worth saving us a slot.

1. More than 10 years at this fair. We know the sector and its calendar. Every edition we listen, take note and come back with something better than the year before.
